Nordic Congress 2019: Grassroot projects will also be represented

In general practice, projects germinate and grow. Nordic Congress 2019 focuses on quality and the way we work in general practice. As part of the congress, there will be a “GP Quality Lounge” dedicated to presenting grassroot projects arising from general practice and it will be located in an area with a large participant flow.

In 2019, Denmark will be hosting the Nordic Congress of General Practice. The congress will be held in Aalborg on 17 - 20 June. We expect about 1200 participants from Denmark, the other Nordic countries and our neighbouring countries.

The planning committee hopes to create an environment where congress participants will take time to look at quality developing grassroot projects in general practice from all Nordic countries and have the possibility to discuss these projects with colleagues. This way they can learn from their colleagues' experience and be inspired to go home and start projects in their own practices. For researchers, this will be a unique opportunity to be updated on and inspired by the current trends in general practice.

Practical information

In the “GP Quality Lounge”, there will be screens for project presentation. The framework for the project presentation is five minutes on a screen, such as:

  • A slide /poster with or without audio track or
  • Five slides with or without audio track or
  • An animation/film clip

All text and speech must be in English.

On each screen, the same presentation may be shown several times a day depending on the total number of presentations.

Registration for Nordic Congress 2019

No expenses are involved in having a slide/presentation shown in the “GP Quality Lounge” area. However, a primary investigator is required to be registered as a participant at the congress and only one presentation is allowed per person. The intention is not for commercial businesses, research teams or organisations without general medical ties to be represented in this area. Moreover, it will be possible to submit abstracts for research projects that can be used on a poster or for an oral presentation.

We hope that you will support the project.

Best regards Nord-KAP (Kvalitetsenheden for Almen Praksis i Region Nordjylland), DSAM (Danish College of General Practitioners) and HOC for NCGP 2019
